This is a 0.5 FTE staff position on a 5-year Title V grant with the potential to become permanent. It would be ideal for someone with strong instructional technology or online teaching experience in higher ed in addition to QM or similar training.
Description:
Assists instructors to design effective and engaging online courses based on instructional goals.
Applies adult learning theory, evidence-based teaching practices and alternative delivery strategies to course development for online, hybrid, and synchronous distance learning.
In collaboration with faculty, develops online “Master” course templates.
Performs online course reviews on a regular cycle.
Collaborates with and coordinates activities with the campus Distance Learning Coordinator
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, or related field.
At least 1year of experience in online course design and directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Three to five years experience designing distance education courses in a higher education setting.
Possesses Blackboard and Canvas proficiency and Quality Matters standards expertise.
Demonstrates strong pedagogical knowledge and a collaborative mindset that
promotes instructional design best practices.
