Eliberto Calderon | President Eliberto, raised by a single mother, originates from Deming, New Mexico. He has maintained a non-conformist transformative learning and training attitude. This love of learning and training, has produced personal and professional successes in multiple environments in the US Army to being a full-time single father to his three sons. Most recently, Eliberto received his doctoral degree from the Organization, Information, and Learning Sciences at the University of New Mexico. Presently, he is the CEO of the Adult Transformative Development Institute and The Maverick Scholar, LLC., both are learning organizations focused on the quality-of-life development or improvement processes. Personally, I have designed and conducted my own healing, training, and thriving quality of life program which successfully transformed my identity from combat soldier into a high performing civilian or the Maverick Scholar. He is an eager volunteer in service to the New Mexico community to give to the betterment of the world at large. |
Nicole Smith | President Elect /VP Social Media With over 10 years experience in Learning & Organizational Development, Nicole has worked in multiple industries including government contracting, banking, education, and non-profit, but always in her little slice of paradise where she can champion employee learning & growth. Nicole earned her Master’s of Education in Training & Development from Pennsylvania State University, is a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, DiSC Certified Trainer, and a ELI Certified Instructor of Civil Treatment. Born into a Marine Corps family that moved constantly while she was growing up, Nicole is actually from “everywhere but nowhere in particular.” Moving to Hawaiʻi after grad school, she called the islands home for 12 years before relocating to New Mexico in April of 2022. In her free time, Nicole sniffs out exciting adventures close to home and even abroad when the wallet allows. She enjoys trail running, hiking, SUP surfing, and freediving, but a passion for the unusual also entices her to try exciting events such as running a marathon across a South African wild game preserve and catching alligators in the geothermal springs of Colorado. Gina Montoya | Past President Gina Montoya transitions from a 20+ year career in the Cyber Security industry for the federal government to the new world of Organizational Design. A specialty of Gina’s is quickly gaining requisite knowledge of a company's products, services, and industry based on a business or operations perspective then suggest opportunities for process improvement, deliver team building techniques, create workshops, exercises to enhance the culture. She is proven to deliver impactful results on multiple projects. She offers superior customer service to both internal and external customers with prompt responses in a professional manner. Gina holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer/Management Information Systems from Park University and Master of Arts degree in Organizational Information and Learning Sciences, concentration in Human Resources and Organizational Design. She currently is an Information System Security Manager for Galapagos, LLC and supports the United States Space Force on Kirtland AFB. |

Daniel Olufemi | VP Diversity, Equity and inclusion Daniel possesses multifarious expertise in usage of digital and new media technology for work and personal purposes, such as documenting information, publishing print and digital records and creating newsletters, producing videos, communicating and sharing messages via multiple digital platforms, presenting at scholarly conferences professional development events and teaching online graduate and undergraduate classes. Daniel’s multidisciplinary academic credentials and professional experiences put him on a good stead to be on the Board. Daniel enjoys educating and supporting young learners from diverse sociocultural, linguistic, religious, gender, and economic backgrounds and academic ability, which gives him a strong connection to promote educational access, equity, and inclusion. Daniel’s proficiency for the position is further exemplified as he serves on several faculty and students’ diversity committees in his current position as a faculty at New Mexico Highlands University [NMHU], at the previous universities where he has worked and non-profit organizations he volunteers. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Language, Literacy and Sociocultural Studies, in addition to MS in Media Arts and MA in Childhood/Special Education. |
Kyle Duncan | VP Technology Kyle is a muti-talented learning professional with more that 20 years of training and facilitation experience. He graduated in 2015 from University of Phoenix with a Maters in Adult Education and Training. He is currently a Sr. Learning Consultant for Marathon Petroleum where he specialized in LMS Management and e-Learning development.
In his free time Kyle is the media director at Victory Outreach Church of Albuquerque, and is a licensed Pastor. He also enjoys graphic design and video editing. He became a member of ATD and ATDNM in 2007. Kyle began serving on the board in 2022. |
Beth Mcleod | VP Professional Development Beth McLeod has over 7 years of experience in online teaching and learning as an instructor, program director, and online course design instructor. More recently, Beth has pursued instructional design, and in 2021, Beth earned her second master’s degree, a Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology from the American College of Education. Beth’s favorite part about instructional design is the ability to be creative while problem-solving to meet the needs of learners. While she still enjoys online teaching, Beth’s more recent roles include Instructional Designer for Honeywell, and more recently, Instructional Designer for the Department of Energy (DOE). Beth continues to pursue continuing education and believes that learning is a lifelong process. |
