    Description:

    Position Summary

    Under general supervision performs routine and complex duties in the training and professional development area.  Is an integral part of coordinating and conducting New Team Member Orientation.  Conducts integrated training needs assessments; coordinates, develops, designs and delivers a comprehensive range of training and education programs for the Pueblo of Sandia.

    Supervision Exercised

    Reports to the Training Manager.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Formulates teaching online and determines instructional methods, i.e. individual learning, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, etc., experiments and develops alternate instructional methodologies to meet the diverse learning styles of participants.
    2. Responsible for the visual concept of training film production. Read scripts to identify what visual design style for sets, locations, graphics, lighting, camera angles and costumes, while working closely with the e-learning developer.
    3. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and computer aided design programs.
    4. Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a wide range of technical, operational, management/supervision and soft skill areas.
    5. Schedules workshops, seminars and informational sessions.
    6. Coordinates/performs necessary administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training activities (photocopies, assembling training material, typing outlines etc.)
    7. Coordinates and conducts New Team member Orientation.
    8. Works with supervisors and managers to determine training needs and develops.
    9. Programs to meet those needs. Maintains contact with vendors, consultants and other service providers in various areas of training; i.e.; management, health & safety, technical training.
    10. Reviews all aspects of e-learning design and development, program design authoring and programming, multimedia creation, program testing and evaluation.
    11. Develops and distributes the monthly training calendar to all users.
    12. Maintains and updates the HR Training Records for all team members.
    13. Notifies Managers/Supervisors of NEO schedule and attendance requirements.
    14. Responds to team member requests, questions, employment issues, provides basic policy   and procedures.
    15. May perform other duties or special projects, as assigned.

    1. Ability to function independently as well as part of a team.

    3. General knowledge of adult learning strategies.
    4. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
    5. Demonstrated skills in PC applications, including word-processing, spreadsheets and databases.
    6. Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
    7. Must have proven experience in designing and delivering training programs and possess highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
    8. Ability to handle multiple activities, projects and priorities in a fast paced environment.
    9. Ability to maintain confidential information.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

    Required:

    1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent
    2. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development or related field of study and three (3) years’ experience in the development and delivery of training. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling seven (7) years may substitute for the required education and experience.   

    Licensing Status

    1. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
    2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

    Working Conditions

    1. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, but may be required to train in an outside environment.
    2. Some physical effort required; i.e.; moving tables & chairs, setting up training room equipment, prolonged standing, climbing ladders.
