Description When entering into interactions with internal customers, your goal as a professional is to develop a strong connection and a clear path on how you can add value. But that doesn’t always happen – it takes some savvy, some awareness, and a bit of patience.
An approach called the Collaborative Influencing Process can help you hit that target for success with a greater degree. During this program, Katie will share this process so that you can learn how to more skillfully listen to your customers and lead them to asking you for help, without you feeling like you have to talk them into anything.
BIO During her first career as an engineer at Honeywell, Katie Snapp was selected to participate in their corporate change initiative and became one of the nation’s top trainers in leadership and team building. She was recruited from there by the global firm, The Cumberland Group, one of the first consulting companies to construct the quality movement as we know it today, and a game-changer in the development of corporate culture that we know now as Lean and Six Sigma. She worked worldwide with clients such as: NASA Johnson Space Center, Northrop-Grumman in their Unmanned Systems initiative, the US Navy, and US State Department. Having worked as a rocket scientist in a male-dominated culture made her realize that women have great value that often gets buried because of their belief systems and lack of positive role models. Katie offers an online consulting course for women building consulting businesses through Skirt Strategies and speaks internationally as well as leads workshops for groups and businesses. She currently works at Sandia National Labs as a quality systems professional.
