Creating a survey may seem simple but there are many details that differentiate a smile sheet from a data collection tool. This session will show you how to design surveys that collect the highest quality data by focusing on how to write effective questions. It also provides an overview of survey design principles because questions are just the first element required to collect the data you need to inform your decisions.     About the Speaker

    Damien M. Sánchez, Ph.D., CRP, leverages his expertise to produce engaging learning experiences, detailed research, and thorough evaluations for his clients. As the owner of Puerta Abierta Performance Consulting, he is currently conducting various evaluations and developing online learning modules for the New Mexico Department of Health. He is also an Associate with the Return on Investment (ROI) Institute where he conducts program evaluations and teaches face-to-face and online workshops regarding how to evaluate programs to ROI. He teaches Evaluating Learning Impact and Measuring Return on Investment for ATD. Dr. Sánchez co-published a book on analytics and AI and solo published several peer-reviewed articles that investigate digital activism on Twitter. He has received awards for academic excellence, contributions to the Latino community, and citizenship.
